Monsanto - Part 2

Greetings,

I apologize for my absence, the semester is finally over & now I can concentrate on other things.  If I play my cards right, I'll be graduating from DMACC next Spring.  I'll then be taking a year off from school while I decide whether to go to Drake or ISU the following fall.  The prestige of a Drake diploma would be nice.  It also has many programs available for English/Literature students.  But it's a private college & will be pricey.  It's also about an hour drive from my house.  ISU is public & is only 25 minutes away.  I guess I will have to wait & see & see what scholarships/grants come my direction.

Before I get into todays article, I would like to mention a couple of conferences coming up in Chicago that I'll be attending & hope that you will consider attending also.

Now, onto today's topic.  Today I'm going to address Aspartame & #6 plastics.  I've talked about the toxicity of plastics in the past.  But I have learned so much more since then.

First off, Aspartame.

This poison dates all the way back to 1965.  It was originally going to be used as an anti-ulcer drug but was moved to be put on grocery stores.  It was blocked in 1974 over safety concerns & lab research concerns.  But it received approval in 1981 to be used in grocery items & approval for Diet sodas in 1983 DESPITE concerns over the affects of it neurologically.  In 1985, the producer of asparatame was purchased by Monsanto & the rest is history.

We see aspartame in diet sodas, as sweetners on table's at restaurants & now they want to put it in our milk supply without having the label saying its in there. 

What is aspartame? 

Aspartame is unique among low-calorie sweeteners in that it is completely broken down by the body into its components – the amino acids, aspartic acid and phenylalanine, and a small amount of methanol.  It is made up of 3 chemicals - aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol.  A book by James & Phyllis Balch lists this as a chemical poison.

In 1991, the Dept. of Health & Human Service published a bibliography on the Adverse Effects of Aspartame & listed 167 reasons to avoid it.  Not to consume it BUT to avoid it.  Yet it continues to be widely available & now they want to  put it our milk supply.  The number one drink by our children.

This poison is a neurotoxin, it also causes brain lesions, cancer, erodes intelligence, it can cause blindness, short term memory loss, somnia & depression.  This is just a short list of side affects caused by aspartame.

The FDA knows that aspartame is bad for a person yet they continue to allow it to be used in our food.  And now that Monsanto has been allowed control higher than the court system, it has turned into a nightmare for everyone living in this country.

It was once listed in the Pentagon's chemical warfare inventory. 

This poison is being used as chemical warfare but not as we would think.  The war has been put on the grocery store shelves. 

My daughter gets really frustrated when I read every label of a new product she wants us to try.  90% of the time the item gets put back on the shelf & we try to find something that is close to what she wants to try & that will work just as well.  My grocery shopping takes about 3-4 hours per week now at 4 different stores.  (I'm a penny pincher & a coupon user)

I know I've barely scraped the surface for the topic of aspartame.  But it was purchased by Monsanto which continues to produce it despite what it does to a person.  The purpose of this article is to expose Monsanto for its evils against humanity.

Now lets take a look at #6 plastics.  This would include styrofoam cups, Solo cups & styrofoam plates. 

How many of you have gotten a cup of coffee in a styrofoam cup & then wait a little bit for it to cool down before taking a sip.  Have you noticed the light brown stuff that is floating on top of the coffee?  That wasn't there when you first poured that cup, it appeared later.  What is that?

Maybe some styrene from the styrofoam that has leached  from the styrofoam into the drink.  Just a hunch......

In 1941, Monsanto branched out into plastics, specifically #6 plastics.  This was listed in 1980 as EPA's 5th in chemicals that produces the most household hazardous waste.

Toulene which is a byproduct of styrene during production that is used as a solvent. 

That cup of coffee doesn't look so good now does it?  What about those solo cups that are sitting in your cupboard?  I threw all of those out years ago.

What does DDT, Agent Orange, Aspartame, #6 plastic, rBGH, GMO & Monsanto all have in common? Part 1

This week has been an eye opener.  As I've done some research into Monsanto, their reaches into environmental dangers & dangers to people go back a long way.  But I'm sure most of you have read the title a few times over & are wondering what Monsanto have to do with the first 6 things listed?  They created all of them!  Yes, you read that right.  Monsanto created DDT, aspartame, Agent Orange,#6 plastic, rGBH & GMO's.

And now there is a law in place that they can use their GMO products in our country without any fear of retribution.

This is going to be a HUGE topic.  I'll probably expand this out to 3 or 4 articles.

Lets look at DDT first.

DDT was used to control mice, rats & bats.  It was also used to control mosquitoes  to get rid of malaria.  It is still used in African countries to control the mosquito population.  Bed bugs also decreased as a result of DDT use.  As many of you know, bed bugs are on the uptick again. 

Monsanto (along with 15 other companies) began manufacturing DDT in 1944, it was banned in 1972.

 DDT was linked to the thin shells that nearly caused the bald eagle & peregrine falcons to become extinct.  The eagles came in contact with DDT by eating the fish that became contaminated with the chemical thru run off & spraying.  DDT is toxic enough that .1 mcg in 1 liter of water is enough to slow down growth & photosynthesis of green algae.  It isn't washed away in rain or floods, it continues to accumulate wherever it ends up.  Its like oil, it won't wash away.

For people it is stored in the fatty tissues, kidneys, liver & adrenal glands.  Your liver & kidneys are filters for the body.  Imagine what was stored in peoples bodies that were exposed to DDT.  I heard a story once that as a girl this lady played in the fumes of the DDT spray, she has Parkinson's disease now.

Also, DDT has been linked to low birth weight & prematurity in babies.

Now that DDT has been taken out of the equation for most of North America, eagles are back on the upswing & the Peregrine Falcon has been taken of the endangered list after a record number of them were seen flying across Hawk Ridge in Duluth, MN in 1988.  (I was there that year, amazing sight)

Now, lets take a look at Agent Orange.

 Agent Orange was used in Vietnam to defoliate the area where the soldiers were fighting.  However this chemical had major health ramifications for the people in the area, including the soldiers.  Hodgkins Lymphoma, non-hodgkins lymphomae, along with cancers of the lung, larnyx & prostate.

Over a 10 year period, 400,000 people were killed & an estimated 500,000 children were born with birth defects as a result of Agent Orange.  During this same 10 year period, over 20 million gallons of Agent Orange were sprayed in Vietnam.  The area sprayed was 13 times the amount that the USDA recommended.

The National Toxicology program classified this to be a carcinogen.  Soldiers who were exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam war had skin rashes, psychological problems, birth defects in their children & other health issues. A lawsuit that was settled out of court gave over $200 million to veterans between 1988 & 1996.

This chemical was also found in the breast milk of the moms living in the area where this stuff was sprayed.

The spraying for Agent Orange stopped in April 1971.  That was 42 years ago & the people of the area are still feeling the affects of it.

It took 16 years from the time DDT usage was banned until the birds were finally making a comeback.  40+ years later, Vietnam is still feeling the affects of a chemical we sprayed in the area to defoliate the area & to destroy the food for the guerilla's they were fighting.

How long will it take for the U.S. to realize they big mistake they made when they gave Monsanto a free rein?

Monsanto is getting their way

While we were being distracted by the gay marriage debate, snow fall in various states & severe weather, a bill was quietly passed by Congress & the Senate.  This bill gives Monsanto power over the government & they are allowed to do whatever their hearts desire.

Our lawmakers are supposed to be for the people & by the people NOT big corporations.

Despite the public outcry over the right to know what is in our food.  We should have the freedom to choose whether we want to eat GMO or non-GMO food.  It's our bodies.

There is a petition online that you can sign to try to tell Obama we don't want this bill passed.  I'm sure they have paid him off as well but we have the opportunity to make our voices heard.

Despite the fact that 5 million farmers sued Monsanto for $7.7 BILLION dollars.

5 million farmers, that is quite a voice.  Isn't that saying something?  We don't want GMO grains.  Monsanto has made the farming industry their money maker and they don't care who they hurt or crush in the process.  Many family farms have gone under as a result of Monsanto & their patents.  Even if you don't raise GMO crops, if pollen from GMO crops make it onto a non-GMO farmers crop, they can be sued for patent infringement.

I urge you to watch Food, Inc.  There is a long section of how Monsanto made the lives of a couple of farmers miserable & a grain cleaner was forced to close his business.  This should be available from your local video store or it's also available on Netflix.

Edit - This keeps getting better & better.  Monsanto wrote its own bill.  It is totally immune from the court system.  If its found that its crops cause cancer & other problems with people & the environment, they can continue to peddle their crops on us.

Mission accomplished......

2 words - mission accomplished.  The meningitis vaccine mandation for 7th graders & 16 year olds has been put on hold.  It will not make it out of committee this year.

Here's the scoop.......

I've been watching the hits come in the last few days.  Most of you are looking for info on Raggedy Ann & the highly questionable Vitamin K shot.  Great topics & hot ones.

My big project for today is done.  It went very well.  And here is what I had going on in the area of vaccines.

A resident of Nebraska asked me to travel to Lincoln to testify in front of a committee.  Senator Bob Krist introduced a bill that would mandate the meningitis vaccine for 7th graders & 16 year olds.  There was a rep from Sanofi there for the pro side, 4 opposing it (myself, a rep from NVIC & 2 others) & 1 neutral.  The person that was for the vaccine & the one that was neutral didn't have all their facts & numbers together.  I also loved it when the neutral lady said "above all I'm to do no harm" BUT the ingredients in vaccines do cause harm. 

I learned a lot from Beth from NVIC, I hope to communicate with her more.

Greetings Nebraska, my name is Lori ******. I have been an independent researcher on the dangers of vaccines for over 20 years. Independent means that I'm not on anybody’s payroll or receive corporate, government or individual grants. I am here today to give evidence against mandating the meningitis vaccine for 7^th graders & 16 year olds.

I would like to quote Dr. Robert Mendelsohn who was a professor at the University of Chicago of Medicine & an author -

“The greatest threat of childhood disease lies in the dangerous & ineffectual efforts made to prevent them thru mass immunization. There is no convincing scientific evidence that mass inoculations can be credited with eliminating any childhood disease.”

Let's read that again........

If a doctor that was also a professor at a medical college is speaking out against immunizations, isn't that saying something?

What is meningitis? Meningitis is inflammation of the lining of the spinal cord, the brain lining & sometimes it can cause sepsis of the blood. There are 13 strains of meningitis. Vaccines only cover 4 of those strains. Tina Tam, epidemiologist with New Jersey Dept. of Health & Senior Services said that “The vaccine doesn't cover certain strains of the bacterial infection on purpose due to complications that vaccines could cause with the body's immune system.”

There is no vaccine for strain B. Strain B accounts for 1/3 of the meningitis cases in the US & 50% of infant deaths from meningitis. The good news is most of us are already immune to the meningitis bacteria by the time we reach junior high without a vaccination. In fact, you can catch the common cold & flu more easily than you can get meningitis.

An advisory committee that tells the CDC & FDA how many vaccines should be given & when. Most of the committee members are shareholders in companies that make vaccines. The more vaccines that are given the more money they make.

As seen here today, Sanofi has testified the last 2 years at this committee meeting, they stand to make money from this law being mandated. Their vaccine may be approved by the FDA but so is every other drug on the market. Every drug that has been recalled, over 1700 in 2009 were approved by the FDA. The FDA also said smoking was safe, they have recalled that statement. Are vaccines safe? The parents of Nebraska deserve a choice!

OSHA protects workers against unsafe workplaces. They provide forms for protecting workers against employer required vaccines. Why are lawmakers telling students that they have to get these shots in order to attend school? This isn't informed consent, this is coercion. The parents of Nebraska deserve the Freedom of Choice!

Lets take a look the 2 of the toxins in the meningitis vaccine. Formaldehyde & thimerosal. Formaldehyde is in 2 out of the 3 meningitis vaccines on the market. Last year, the FDA declared this to be a carcinogen. According the MSDS sheet possible side effects include reproductive disorders, multiple organ damage, blindness & even death.

Thimerosal is 50% mercury. It is in Menomune which is made by Sanofi. It can cause damage according to the MSDS sheet to the kidneys, liver, spleen, bone marrow & the central nervous system. Based on animal data it may cause cancer, adverse reproductive effects, birth defects & may affect genetic material.

In 2011, the Institute of Medicine has said that “certain vaccines are linked to brain inflammation, febrile seizures & life threatening infections like pneumonia & meningitis.”

Dr. Alec Burton, National Hygienic Society, 1978 said that “Vaccines can cause a variety of illnesses that are considerably more serious than the disease for which they given.

If vaccines are safe, then why is there a hazard tax attached to each vaccine? Why are vaccine manufacturers immune from vaccine lawsuits?

In conclusion, I would like to repeat that I am in independent researcher on vaccines. I don't get any grants or payroll from individuals, the government or any corporation. Can every lawmaker here today make the same claim?

I know the people who are trying to discredit me or shut me down are going to have a field day with this.   The truth of the matter is we put doubt in some lawmakers heads today.  If we don't get it defeated at least maybe we can get it reworded in such a manner as such that it goes from being mandated to recommended - give parents the info & let them make an informed decision. 

30 pages of notes on the dangers of the meningitis vaccine whittled down to a 5 min. speech.  Not a lot of time to cover so much info.  But between me & 3 others, I think we got the job done.
