Help for California Exemptions

Greetings everyone,

It seems like there are some states that are trying to make it harder for parents to exempt their kids out of getting vaccinated. Now it looks like California is going that route. A friend on Facebook posted this info to help parents in that state. I'm passing it along here.

Hi all in California - exemptions from vaccines in 2011 (don't let them fool you - you still can exempt from Tdap vaccine (Tetanus/diphtheria/whooping cough) - just giving you one more hoop to jump through.

Sheri Nakken Vaccinedangers There are 2 things you will need to sign

1. Here is the original exemption form (don't fill in any previous vaccines, just sign the exemption on the back of the form

2. There is an additional waiver form now (besides the usual blue card for waiver of all vaccines & TB tests) for Tdap vaccine (Tetanus/diphtheria/whooping cough) in California this year only for students going into middle or high school (7th through 12th
grades). (they give you this to sign somehow)

Signing the back of the Blue Card is not sufficient for exempting Tdap
• Fill out form CDPH 8261 with Student information
• Form MUST be signed by parent/guardian

and there are parts on the form that you may want to cross out (and initial that you crossed it out) and sign out - otherwise you implicate yourself as 'knowing it is dangerous to not vaccinate"

One case equals an emergency?

I couldn't believe what I read when I was scanning our local TV station, KCCI, tonight. There is one case of measles in the State of Iowa & the head of the Iowa Department of Health has declared a public health emergency.

I know that Patricia Quinlisk likes to take the safe route but is this really necessary? And she is telling everyone to check their families immunzation records to make sure everyone is current on their vaccines.

I know that Measles is contagious BUT this is being exaggerated beyond belief. For many kids, having measles was a rite of passage during their childhood years. But now that big pharma has come out with a vaccine for this disease, it becomes a killer. Granted, there are some kids who have severe side affects from getting measles, some are as serious as blindness or death but most got thru it just fine.

Allergies - Is there a way to find relief?

People who suffer from allergies don't look forward to Spring. Spring brings pollen, dust floating thru the air & shedding of pet fur. For many years, I too suffered from allergies except mine lasted year round. It seemed like I was always sneezing & always had to have kleenex nearby. Every 4-6 weeks I would come down with a severe cold that would last 7-10 days at a time.

My allergies started during the summer of 1977. This was the summer I was diagnosed with allergies, asthma & migraines. My father had died just a couple of months earlier, so I think the stress of dealing with the loss of him at the tender age of 7 took a toll on my health. I'm not saying this to upset or have anyone feel sorry for me. I'm saying that stress does take a toll on your health & that a person needs to take control of it before it controls you.

For many years, I got allergy shots. Did they help? I don't think so since my allergies continued. It was you name it, I was allergic to it except for food. I outgrew many of them but some still remained thru adulthood.

What does allergy science say about allergy shots?

Only in the last 3 years have I found relief from allergies. I can hear many of you saying, what is it? I want it! It was only when I started taking Vitamin D3 did I find relief. I take 10,000 IU per day. Its not that much & you're not going to OD on it. You would have to take 150,000 IU per day for over a year to even come close to OD'ing. The body readily absorbs this vitamin & its used very quickly.

The only time that my allergies still act up if I hit the housecleaning really hard & the dust starts to fly.
