More on Fukushima

Greetings,

As I sit in my recliner on medical leave from work, I was doing some research on Fukushima. I came across a few interesting articles regarding Fukushima & how its affecting our environment.

Its pretty scary stuff & you really have to wonder why in the world this information is being hidden from us.

Obamacare - Is it a good thing?

Greetings from hot & steamy Memphis, TN!

Myself, my daughter & 2 other teens are at the tall end of our 17 day adventure around central & the eastern part of the U.S. They are telling residents of Memphis not to go out if they don't have to because of the record setting temps. The a/c went out at the first hotel we were going to stay at, so we had to switch to another one.

Obamacare made the headlines this week that it was constitutional to require Americans to have health insurance. How is this going to work for those that are just barely getting by? How are they going to enforce it? When I filed our state income taxes this year, one of the questions that they asked was if my children had health insurance. They are putting plans into place to ensure every American has coverage.

Is Obamacare really a good thing? Many think it is. Many know it isn't. What are the hidden dangers of Obamacare? There are at least 50 of them. Here is a link to a website that shows SOME of the hidden dangers of Obamacare.

http://www.coachisright.com/special-reports/50-dangers-from-obamacare/

Remember, these are just SOME of the hidden dangers, who else knows what is in there. I was asked today what I thought of Obamacare, I said its not a good thing & needs to be done away with. Lets hope & pray that we get a president that will throw it out on its ears before it goes into affect in 2014.

Planning on being home by July 4th for our local celebration & a private showing of fireworks out in the middle of nowheresville later in the evening.

Stay cool my friends,

Lori

Pneumonia, Spider bites & Psoriasis

Greetings,

As I sit at my cousins house in Waterloo, IA, I'm reflecting back on how this summer has gone so far. The semester finished almost 6 weeks ago & I haven't gotten a fraction done of what I've wanted to get done by now.

On the last day of the semester, that evening I had to take my daughter to the ER because she had been sick since the night before & was severely dehydrated because she couldn't keep anything down. After about 2 hours, they released her with anti-nausea meds & instructions to drink & eat as she was able. The next morning, she had a follow up visit with her pediatrician & everything seemed to be fine. I got a call from him a couple of hours later, he looked at her chest x-ray & saw that pneumonia was starting to develop so he started her on anti-biotics. It was called Azithromax. It was in the news a few days later as causing heart problems in patients with heart disease. Great......she doesn't have this problem but it makes you wonder if doctors stop & think about what they are prescribing.

That night we were back in the ER for another problem - a spider bite. We have a few spiders in our house & every once in awhile they show up. This one bit her on the back of her left shoulder. It was very painful for her. So after icing & calamine lotion, I took her in. They said since it was swelling nor was she was breaking out in hives, she would be fine. They gave her a dosage of Benadryl & sent her home. This was a Thursday evening.

On Sunday evening, she started to break out in a rash. We weren't quite sure what we were dealing with so I used calamine lotion to help with the itching & Aveeno baths. By Wednesday she was broke out head to toe with this rash - back to the doctor. He thought she was allergic to the Azithromax to he put in her chart an allergy to it. 10 days later, the rash continued to get worse. He finally sent her to a dermatologist. The dermatologist walked in, took one look at Hannah & told her it was psoriasis. She was started on "light box" treatments right away to try to get rid of it. A light box is basically a tanning bed that is regulated by the FDA & she isn't in it nearly as long.

Fortunately, a from eastern Tennessee called me up & said I may want to check into an herbal rememdy from GNC called Red Clover. That the psoriasis may be her bodies way of clearing out the toxin from the spider bite. After doing a bit of research, I concurred & bought it. Hannah is now 60% clear on the psoriasis. She is having some scarring from where it was really bad. She hasn't been able to go back to work because it is so itchy & painful at times in the areas where it is really thick. (her legs & torso)

We preparing to take a road trip here in about 10 days, I pray that while we are gone she heals from her psoriasis. We are covering 8 cities in 17 days. Some cities we are only going to be there a few hours visiting friends & other places we are going to be there a few days.

Until next time, have a good weekend.....

A good video about vaccines

Greetings,

My hubby showed me this video this morning & I thought it would be a good one to pass onto you. It has statements from many in the medical community that speak out against vaccines.

Fukushima - A disaster waiting to happen

Greetings,

As I was doing some surfing while on hold with many people today I came across this article regarding the Fukushima dangers. One of our senators has been there & describes the situation as a "radiation apocalypse" waiting to happen.

I've said before we are NOT being told the whole story. And this just adds to that proof, we aren't.

As summer begins......

Greetings to my faithful readers, My grandmother passed away on April 21st. The nursing home called me & told me she had taken a turn for the worse & to head up there if I could. (2 hr. drive) I asked what her vitals were so I knew if I had time or not. They told me to hold on & they would check. The nurse came back online a few minutes later & told me she had passed. I am so thankful that I got hospice involved when I did. I wished I hadn't waited so long as they could have made her last few months better rather then her suffering the way she did. Her funeral was a week ago today & I'm still mourning in my own way. I have to be strong for my daughter & be there for my family. But at night, the time of being strong ends & the tears come. I have quite a few articles I'm planning on writing over the summer. A couple of them are very involved & will require some in depth research. If any of you would like to shoot me some ideas of what YOU would like to see, please leave your ideas in the comment section & I'll see what I can do. My husband gave me an idea this morning about becoming a health coach. I'm thinking about it but not sure if I'm ready yet. Maybe after another semester of writing & more research, I can start exploring that path. Until next time, Lori
