Run for your lives, the sky is falling!
Just kidding......it's just measles.
In 2011, Patricia Quinlisk, former head of the Iowa Department of Health declared a public health emergency over a single case of measles.
In case you haven't heard, there is a case of measles in Iowa in a VACCINATED adult that has returned from traveling internationally. And of course, the Iowa deparmtnent of Health is yelling for everyone to get vaccinated.
Of course what you aren't being told is that if you get vaccinated, you can spread the virus for up to 4 weeks as the MMR is LIVE virus vaccine. So, what this means, if you get a MMR vaccine, go home, stay there for about 4 weeks so you don't endanger those around you.

As more people run and get vaccinated or get their boosters or do the same for their kids, measles will continue to run rampant. Here are some other things you aren't told about the MMR vaccine.
It hasn't been tested as to whether or not it will affect fertility.
Or whether it will cause fetal harm.
If you are breast feeding and you get the MMR vaccine, you can excrete in your milk and affect your baby.
Cases of aseptic meningitis have occurred after received the MMR vaccine.
Atypical measles.
And there have been deaths associated with the MMR vaccine.
You can read the insert at this link.
According to an article by Physicians for Informed Consent, the risk for the MMR vaccine is greater than the risk for the measles virus.
And, despite what the CDC, FDA and your child's pediatrician says. It has NOT been proben that getting the MMR vaccine is safer than getting measles.
Read what the doctors for Physicians for Informed Consent say.
Now, you can make an informed choice or at least be armed with questions for the doctor when it comes to the MMR vaccine.
